Question, Spouse of a EU Citizen

Post by otrebor » Sat Apr 28, 2018 7:36 pm

Hello all, hope you can help me with a doubt I have.

I got married to a Croatian citizen, that was in January 11th, my visa was about to expire on the 29th of the same month.
When I was going back to Ireland from a trip, the immigration officer at the desk gave me permission to stay in the country until March 3rd.
We sent all the documents together with the EU1 Form but sadly I had to come to Mexico for some unexpected situations that I had to sort out. (I am still in Mexico)

Last week we received a reply from Treaty Rights asking for some more documents (which we are gonna send soon) and saying that a final desicion would be made until August.

My questions are

Will it be a problem if during this waiting period I remain in Mexico?
Do I have to let them know that I am abroad?
If I go back to Ireland before August, am I elegible to ask for temporary permission and be able to work?

Thanks a lot for your attention!
