When can I register my child as British Citizen

Post by jara777 » Sun Apr 29, 2018 8:57 am

Hello Gurus, I am here for your kind advice. I have two children - 16 and 20 years old. They came to the UK in August 2016 with Indefinite Leave to Enter.

How soon can I register/naturalise them into British Citizens?

They have never been out of this country since their arrival.

Both me and my wife are British Citizens.

Hoping for your kinds response.

The 16 year old may register under Section 3(1) from August 2018.
The 20 year old may naturalise under Section 6(1), subject to KoLL, etc., from August 2021.
