Hi All,
thanks for all cooperation so far. I have posted lots of question earlier but as I did not have complete pic was a bit in the air. I apologise to have wasted some time of all.
This is the situation with help of high profiled lawyer:
1. DLR granted in 2014 on the basis of few things one of them is also building a successful medical career in the UK, situation remained unchanged as of now and profession wise improved significantly
2. Extension for renewal was up in July 2017, applied on time and payment was processed by HO that failed in December 2017 and Jan 2018 (by Bank fraud protection dept)
3. Application returned in early Jan 2018 saying to reapply and given 14 days and reapplied and redone the Biom, also acknowledgement received in mid Jan 2018
4. it has been 2 months
maybe phone up your bank to see if another attempt was made for payment and if it was successful or not, at the same time, give them notice that the payment from UKVI/Home Office and the amount they are supposedly going to take so there is not another mishap on their side again. - ACTUALLY NOW THE LAWYER BANK DETAILS HAVE BEEN PROVIDED SO LETS SEE FINGERS CROSSED!
5. other info- applicant stayed in the UK as a Medical student and then a specialist with NHS (20 yrs in 2019). She never applied ILR because well, lets just say never thought of immigration can be important! (thats a whole different thought process without any excuse)
If you could provide start and end dates for the above information it would help in answering it.
Has this person been working for the past (almost) 20 years and that too with the NHS, since 1999?!? - WHEN SHE CAME TO UK, SHE ALREADY AN MBBS, THEN DID THE POSTGRAD IN THE UK AND GOT THE LOCAL LICENSE ETC. THEN WORKED THRU TO SPECIALISATION AND WORKING FOR DIFFERENT HOSPITALS THRUOUT I THINK SINCE 2005.
If they didn't apply for ILR during that time have they had valid leave through out that period? - YES BUT NOT TOO SURE ABOUT THE EXACT CATEGORY,
Anyone faced similar and if so, can you shed any light please? again, I apologise if posted in wrong area!

Actually I am hoping someone has had similar issues with DLR extension. Because I saw many posts with this 'PAYMENT FAILURE APPLICATION RETURNED'. So, it would be really helpful to know similar experience and timeline needed for the outcome after the 2nd time application.
May GOD bless HO with some humanity, compassion for genuine people who live to save lives!

If the person in question has held valid leave through out the entire period, they could always apply for ILR (LR) provided they meet the requirements set out before them and going by when she first entered the UK(supposedly 1999), it would seem she can apply anytime before her expiry of current Leave to remain.
Again without further information, that is just the basic analogy.

When was she granted DLR? And why was she granted it?

It was granted in 2014 on the basis of her long term stay, established life in UK as a successful medical professional and also at the time a partner "akin to marriage" and also given her career and all being in UK for such long contribution and adaptation to local medical society.

Then my understanding is, she may be eligible to apply for ILR in 2024 and not previously stated by me. That was my misunderstanding on my part.

Hiya,
My partner has been waiting for 8 months for extension application to come thru. Once payment failed so had to reapply. Now been 3.5 months since reapplication. Her lawyer who is a very prominent one advised to go to local MP to request for expediting or similar! has anyone actually done so?
