Question regarding naturalisation application

Post by Dark79 » Fri May 04, 2018 4:17 pm

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for naturalisation next month after having PR status for 12 months but i have a few questions and will be grateful anyone can answer them please:

1- I had a conditional discharge on early Jan 2010 , i got a letter from the lawyer which states it is not a criminal convection but i heard from others it is a criminal conviction my question is do i declare i have a criminal conviction or not?

2- I found out I had CCJ which was sent to an old address and paid as soon as i found out the ccj was on 10-2012 and paid it on 04-2014, I am aware i have to declare this under civil judgment but how badly will it effect the decision?

3- I had some immigration appeals refused in 2011 which i declared on my PR application and i'm planning to declare everything on this application but again how badly will this effect the decision?

Thanks in advance

p.s i haven't spent anytime in prison and work full time

you should ask police if they have the record or not.

2- I found out I had CCJ which was sent to an old address and paid as soon as i found out the ccj was on 10-2012 and paid it on 04-2014, I am aware i have to declare this under civil judgment but how badly will it effect the decision?

you just declare is ok. as you paid it should be fine, and 4 years ago.

3- I had some immigration appeals refused in 2011 which i declared on my PR application and i'm planning to declare everything on this application but again how badly will this effect the decision?

This need more detail. can you tell more what happened?

Thanks in advance

thanks for your reply much appreciated

for 1st one it shows on my crb or whatever they call it now i always declare it on the explanation but wasn't sure to answer yes for conviction or not i guess i will answer just yes and attach the lawyer's letter.

for the 3rd one I was married before to a British citizen (came here june 2009)and and it went south I applied to stay under special case at the end of my 1st marriage visa 2 years and it got declined, I appealed and got rejected at the end of April 2012 then applied again for appeal and got rejected end of May 2012 and got married to European citizen at end of June 2012 and got my 5 years stay and now I have my PR, my worry is would they count any of the gap period or any period as i was here illegally?
if it helps i'm still married to the European citizen and we have 2 kids both British and German national

Thanks again
