EEA Family Permit with kids

Post by thabie » Sat May 05, 2018 9:03 pm

Hi,

I have searched for similar situation as mine, but can't seem to find anything, apologies if this has been asked a 1000 times, I will breakdown all my questions to make it easier.

1. I'm a South African, my husband holds a polish passport and has recently gone to find work in the UK, he lives with friends there and will be getting an offer by next week. In the application processes, it asks for financial details, I'm guessing these are his financial details, is it okay to put N/A and explain in the comment box later, that he recently got a job and mention what his salary will be and that it a permanent job?

2. It also asks the residential address where we will live, we will only choose a house to rent once, the kids and myself join him in a month's time. Can we state in the comment that he has registered with an agency for an appropriate home for all of us and submit proof of that?

3. Do i have to do 3 separate application forms, one for myself and for my two kids, if I go under the section, applying for someone else , it then asks if as a parent of an EEA child, I selected that option, then it brings up the same questions as the main applicant, is it okay to just ignore these were possible and just explain in the commentary box and just mention , we exercising exercise my right of free movement and residency as stated in the Free Movement Directive 2004/38/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 29 April 2004.?

4. Where an address is required I will state the current address where my spouse lives with friends and then explain later of the situation about getting our own accommodation, when we arrive.

Looking forward to the response

Do your children also have Polish passports? If so, they do not need to apply for a Family Permit. They can enter the UK as Polish citizens themselves.
