I have a question....
my CoS is valid till 19 July and I am applying for VISA next week for myself. for my dependants (wife and kid), I am planning to apply in august, I hope that is not a problem (sorry if the question sounds silly)

Also my A rated sponsor, ticked Y for maintenance for me and dependants too, so when CoS gets invalid in Aug, does that still prove maintenance is covered or safely I show my balances in bank statement?

It will be fine. Your dependents can apply later.
