Thank you for reading my letter.
I’m hoping that you can help with some information.
I’m a British citizen and lives in London.
My Elder brother is living in London and has EU residence permit. Both of us are claiming benefits at the moment.
When my Elder brother was in Italy, my mother came to visit him as a family member and later on she went back to Bangladesh.
We have a younger brother (30 years of age, currently unemployed) who lives in Bangladesh and we would like to bring him in to the UK.
My Elder brother is going to apply for him as an extended family member of EU citizen.
I have few questions regarding that:
1. My Elder brother wants to apply for both my mother and my younger brother together. Is it possible?
2. My Elder brother transfer money to me in UK and I was sending this money to Bangladesh to my mother. The recipients name was my mother. Is it going to make the application complicated? I understand that my Elder brother has to prove that the family members are financially dependant on him. In order to support the family members back home, he was sending money through me. I have the bank statement shows that I have received the money from my Elder brother. I also have the online money transfers receipts that shows I have send the money to my mother. Please note that: I haven’t sent any money direct to my younger brother for last 18 months. But last few months my elder brother has sent money to my younger brother directly to his name. Can we just explain to Home Office that this money is for both mother and younger brother?
3. Does my younger brother from Bangladesh and mother has to live with my elder brother in UK? Because the flat he lives right now is not big enough to accommodate 2 adults. It’s a 2 bedroom flat with one Living room. My elder brother lives there with his wife and 4 years old boy.
4. If we apply for my younger brother and mother and we show that they are both financially dependent on us, will it affect on our benefit claims in UK?
5. Does my younger brother or mother has to show any bank statement in Bangladesh?
6. Let’s say, we can only apply for our younger brother at this moment. Can we explain Home Office that the fund we have sent last year to our mother is for my younger brother as well to support him financially?
If you can shed some lights, we will be grateful to you. If you need information please let me know. Thank you in advance.
Best regards
