Hi All, slightly weird one.
So, my wife is currently waiting on her visa application to be processed in Sheffield for the family of a settled person visa. She is a US Citizen and her visa was confirmed received in Sheffield earlier in April.
However, we just received an email from the New York application centre saying they have received an application which we cancelled back in January for the marriage visitor visa. Since then we have already received an accepted marriage visitor visa (married in March) and have already received the refund for the one we cancelled.
I just wanted to check that this email for the cancelled one is nothing to worry about and is entirely separate from the current visa application we have in sheffield.
Should we chase this up?

We aim to process all standard visa applications within 15 working days or less. However, a small percentage of applications may take longer than 15 working days to process, so we suggest that you do not make any travel arrangements until you receive your documents back.
If you received an email from our commercial partner, VFS Global, regarding the purchase of a return waybill, please follow their instructions so we can return your documents with minimal delay.
If you have applied for a visa to visit an Overseas Territory, UKVI will liaise with the government of that Overseas Territory on your behalf. Once the Overseas Territory has instructed us to act, we will send you an email to notify you of the decision.
Unfortunately, we cannot respond to status enquiries about individual cases, but we will send you an email to notify you when a decision has been made on your application.
