EU treaty application

Post by AnouckFarrell » Mon May 14, 2018 11:02 am

Hi,

Was wondering if anyone can give some advice/information.

My husband applied for his EU treaty right in September 2017.
He received his stamp and card so that he could take up employment in the mean time and his stamp is valid until the end of this month (May 2018).

We still haven't heard back about his application, I cannot imagine anything wrong with it, but would like to find out what happens if he doesn't hear anything before his stamp expires?

We sent an email asking for an update, but never got any reply.

Does anyone have any advice on how we can find out more about his application?
Does it usually take longer than what the stamp is valid for?

Thanks in advance!

getting the decision takes 9-12 months

if ur card is about to expire go in the garda station, or immigration office, depending where u live, and ask for extension. Not everyone gets that, but dont worry too much, u can stay legally until u get the decision.
The only issue can occur where u picked up a legal job with ur temporary stamp4 card, and the workplace is making a problem about it...
