BC - Applied jointly with son, passport for son arrived nothing yet for me

Post by Fanaaz » Mon May 14, 2018 3:50 pm

I don't know if this is right thread to ask this question. I and my son applied for naturalisation and passport. We submitted online application and then went to the passport services in the council to submit the documents. It was a document return service. As soon as we submitted application for naturalisation online, we got an option to book appointment for biometrics as well. We submitted application on 17/02/18 and went for submitting documents on (document return service)22/02/18.
They contacted us couple of times for my son's application which delayed it. First was for his photograph, which we submitted but they said one was
Missing. Second was for consent letter from both of us(parents) which we haven't submitted. After sending all these, he received his passport on 12/05/2018. I am now worries because our application was together but yet now I haven't received any notification from them. Does anyone had same experience? Why mine is taking long time while my son's processed within this time?

I think I have come across where couples that applied together and received their decisions at different times in the forum.
Your son's application will obviously be more straightforward than yours especially if he is a young minor. They will probably carry out more checks and verifications on you which is likely to cause further delay in processing your application. Exercise more patience.
