in my case both my employees were not present. Infact one had left as my interview was confucted after 9 months. My employees worked from home. I could justify that given my business model.

However, if an employee is present during interview it definitely will give a positive impact. Even if they are not present but you can justify that it should be fine as long you can confidently give an explaination.

1) keep all the documentation in soft form so that upon request you could print them on one single click. Documentation includes bank statements, invoices sales and purchases, employees contract, employees health and safety induction, office risk assessment, business health and safety policy, documents related to accounts, p60s, p45, payslips, fps, employee pension record, Communication with employees and clients, Job advertisement proof just in case if any employee has resigned. Record of CVs you received through advertisement
2) Also make some paper based files as it looks professional
3) You should have in depth knowledge of your business activities, your suppliers and customers, your employees job role, important figures turn over, corporation tax, expenses, employees pay rate and hours they are working
4) Having employees present on site/office/client premises will be an advantage

Hi actually i have postponed my interview to 29th. There were 2 persons who came to take interview. They have started with basic information. Then questions about background studies work experience and how it is related to business then they asked about business and few questions related to premises why do you choose this area etc etc then investment and about advertisement and marketing then clients then about employees and some questions related to HSE and employee rights. It was a long interview for more than 2 hours. I have answered almost around 80 to 90% of questions correctly that’s what i think apart from some stupid accounting related questions and they asked me to show work which you have done that I didn’t had at the time of interview but i have shown some which was in my other laptop. But there is nothing to worry about if you are genuinely doing business.
