RCOS Tier 2 - Assigned versus Used

Post by royarjun2005 » Thu May 17, 2018 6:00 pm

When a RCOS is approved, the employer has to assign it to an employee.

Then the employee files the VISA application.

I have done the same and awaiting my VISA for days now. Although, I know that a decision was made on May 4. I had called UKVI and they informed me the same.

On the Sponsor Management System (SMS), the RCOS still appears as 'assigned' and not 'used'.

Would that mean that my application was rejected? Or is the status of the RCOS not related to the final decision?

sometimes, it takes time to reflect the right status in all the systems!
I am hopeful ur visa is approved

just for the sake of explanation, I saying......even if it is rejected (i hope it is not), CoS status should appear as used, because if it is approve or rejected, CoS is only used once and for that applicant , only for one instance

Please dont worry! u will recieve your VISA :) very soon

Thanks Ashish. That makes sense - rejected and used part.

I haven't received the intimation email from UKVI informing decision has been made although they informed me on the call.

I have a joining date of June 18 and need to go there early to look for a rental accommodation! It's getting very close for me.

I hope you are right and I receive my VISA!

Yes :)

Today while submitting I checked with VFS guys, they said yes lot of people are applying in Apr and May - so there are delays.
I know it is causing a lot of trouble as other logistics needs to be arranged, we will be troubled a bit
Cant do anything, but waiting patiently
