Housing benefits and spouse visa renewal

Hello everyone,
I am a British citizen and my wife is on a spouse visa which is due for renewal soon.
We are currently living in a rented apartment with our our 8 month baby, I work full time and my wife is not working, I have applied for housing benefits which was granted so I receive a small amount to help paying the rent, would the housing benefits and the child benefit have any impact on my wife’s spouse visa when we submit the application!
Please let me know guys.

No - provided the Housing Benefit and Child Benefit are paid to you, the sponsor. You are a a British Citizen and are able to make use of any social benefits that you are entitled to.

Many thanks for your response.
I have no idea though whether the housing benefits were calculated for me only or for my wife and I, I will contact the housing department today and fined out.
In a worst case scenario, if it was calculated for us as a couple, can they rectify the error and I pay back the difference amount! Would this cause any issue on my wife’s renewal even though we didn’t know!

Can anyone please let me know would this will impact on my wife’s spouse renewal! I have contacted the council to find out whether the housing benefits was calculated to me only or for my wife and I, still waiting for their email.
