Thank you very much for your reply.
No, my sponsor payed ISCmm123 wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 5:42 pmThank you very much for your reply.
U mean you paid to your employer as well the ISC? Or did he pay for you on your behalf? I understand thay IHS has to be paid by me. Really sorry.. i am bit confused. Because it was clearly stated in the contract that employer agrees to pay for the immigration costs if employee agrees to stay for 2 years. My employer is really nice. But this thing messed me up. As he has been very straighforward from the beginning its just that he never mentioned about this.
Thank you Ashish. You have always been helpfulashishkm wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 5:51 pmNo, my sponsor payed ISCmm123 wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 5:42 pmThank you very much for your reply.

I payed VISA fee and IHS
You have to be careful when an employer asks you to pay for COS. From the way you are sounding, it appears you have been dealing with a person and not a company.mm123 wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 4:16 pmHello,
My RCos got aproved this month and I was really happy about it until my employer asked me to pay Immigration skills charge and the COS fee for allocation of RCOS. I am really confused. He never mentioned this before. Is it normal for employer to ask for this? Also at the time of interview he sent me a contract saying he will be incurring the fees.. really confused?? Please help

A quick check for you to do is to confirm the company is registered to sponsor visas here

A genuine company will atleast pay for ISC and COS while you pay for the visa application and IHS., in fact, some sponsors will pay for everything.
so please check again to be sure you are dealing with a genuine company and offer.
That's definitely not normal as U're already paying a lot. In may case company covered that bit and I've just paid for my visa application. Honestly U should be really careful while working for them as I predict some issues with pay rise etc.mm123 wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 4:16 pmHello,

Actually in our profession its very common. I am a dentist. I had few offers in the past that would blatantly ask for money. One asked me to pay £5000 for a job in Ireland which off course i denied. So i had discussion with few people and they said its fine to pay now and trust him.Djsuccess wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 6:55 pmIt still doesn't sound right.mm123 wrote: ↑Tue May 22, 2018 5:39 pmThanks for your concern. it takes about 5 -15 minutes to assign a COS.
Yes, it's that easy. Your sponsor will only need to input your data (full name, date of birth, country, passport number and expiry date) and details of the job (job title, job description, SOC code, salary, start date etc). Your sponsor should already have this information, so assigning a COS shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.
He got all the personal details checked by me. And then I got the amount transferred(on 22nd). Since then I am waiting. I thought this might be a procedure thats why its taking time. I will mail my employer right away.Djsuccess wrote: ↑Sat May 26, 2018 10:45 amYes, it's that easy.
