Fixed contract and forseeable future

Post by RWA1 » Mon May 21, 2018 12:40 am

Hi,

I am looking for some advice on my ILR application under Tier 2.

I have been on the Tier 2 visa for the past five years, and my qualifying period for application began in april 2018.

My current university contract ends on the 31st of Dec, 2018 and current Tier 2 visa ends on 14th Jan, 2019.

I would like to apply for ILR.

It seems tricky, because when I contacted the university HR for a letter to confirm my employment etc, they said they would also include end date of contract.

Any thoughts or advice? Reflections on chances of getting an ILR?

Thanks

It doesn't matter. And your employer needs you at least until Dec 2018 so even you apply ILR on June your uni still needs you for half year at least. and also add "the renew will be subjected to review" is alright.

To increase your faith, I am also post-doc in the uni.

Ah, thanks for that. Are you applying for ILR as well?

Did you ever speak to immigration advice, solicitor etc

I have gone through all already. I got my ILR 1.5 years ago.

No I didn't I use Premium service and did all by my own.

Very straight forward as we work with A-rated sponsor and PAYE. No worries.
