Student Visitor Visa for medical electives and IELTS

Hi Guys,

My niece is in the 4th year of MBBS in Pakistan and want to come UK for 4 weeks to do her electives. University college London is offering 4-8 weeks electives to visiting students. On their website they have asked evidence of proficiency in English.

The question that i want to ask is whether IELTS is compulsory for the short term student visa.? If university accept her without IELTS would HO have any issue with it or She must have to do IELTS to get the short term student visa.

This is the same question asked three times. The answer is No.

The university probably has a minimum English language requirement for people undertaking these studies but that is an institutional academic matter not an inherent requirement for a short-term study visa.
