UKVI over service standard period. taking me for a ride!

Hi all,

I had applied to UKVI for an ILR visa in august 2017 and have still not received a decision.

I have been trying to contact the home office to get an update since late january without any luck. I contacted them once again yesterday and was told i would get an update on my decision time etc.

Just now, I have received an email from the home office which says the following;

Thank you for contacting UKVI Contact Centre.





If you still have not received your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) within 10 working days of the date on your visa decision letter, you will need to use the link provided on your letter to report.

This e-mail was obviously sent in error! I have not received any decision letter and cannot follow the link which was sent to me regarding the BRP.

Could any of you advise me on the best way to follow up my application? can i assume that a decision has been made which was positive?

any assistance would be very helpful

You cannot follow up an application. I can see that you previously stated that you wanted to apply for SET(LR) in August 2016 but now you stated that you applied in August 2017 ?!
