Tier 2 shortage occupation minimum salary

Post by sahara92 » Wed May 23, 2018 12:18 am

Hello everyone
I am currently applying job in the UK and I got some questions in my head, if anybody can help me with those would be great to me..

The company that I've applied and had interview, they have sponsorship license which is good.
And the job title I'm applying is on shortage occupation list ( not 100% same as it's written but I believe we can do flexibly for the name of the job title when apply for visa..)

But I wonder even the job role(the code is 3411 Artist) on SOL, should meet the minimum salary as £30,000?
(Because I'v heard that from other people)

on https://www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration ... illed-work

it says New entrant: £18,600 and Experienced worker: £23,200

but it also says
5. For the purposes of this Appendix, where the job is one to which a requirement for specified experience applies, the sponsor must: (c) pay the “experienced worker” salary rate, if both “new entrant” and “experienced worker” rates are specified for the appropriate Standard Occupational Classification code in Appendix J.

Does that mean 3411 Artist should be given the salary from £23,200 as minimum?

I am quite confused cos I'm actually entry level but not qualified as a new entrant due to my age (26)

I would very appreciate any comment if anybody can share related experience or just general tips and advice.

Thank you for reading this.
