When to Apply for FLR and other Questions

Post by asif3 » Wed Apr 04, 2018 12:15 pm

Hi,

For further leave to remain (FLR), is my understanding correct that we have to apply for it 28 days before the expiry date on the BRP card? Expiry date is 24th August on BRP card. There is no expiry date on the passport stamp.

Also, we are living with parents, is it still wise to submit a property inspection report?

Thanks

She should apply as close as possible to 2.5 years residence, counting from date she arrived or within 28 days of current visa expiring. This is to avoid a potential shortfall for ILR and the need for a third extension to cover a few weeks.

Public Funds

Post by asif3 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 11:37 am

Hi,

My wife the applicant for FLR M, and myself get child tax credit and working tax credit, as well as child benefit, although it comes into my bank account. Will this affect our FLR M application?
In the form, section 7B Maintenance, it asks us about this and also asks to provide bank details. As the benefit goes into my bank account, is this fine?

Also, the fee for the application is £993 but I can't find the fee for IHS. Does anyone know how much that is?

As long as tax credits is claimed in JOINT names and child benefit in YOUR name only, no issues. Fine to other question.

IHS is £500

Phew that's a relief. The form says "Please provide bank statements with your
application to show receipt of the benefits" How many bank statements will be sufficient?

One or two months should suffice.

If you are meeting the financial requirement from salary, you only need to submit the bank statements for 6 months proving income.

Hi Guys,

Abnother question for FLR. I plan to apply with £62,500 savings for 6 months, without showing income. But on the application 7.3, it doesn't give me any option of applying with cash savings only. Please advise..thanks

13b - Your civil marriage certificate or civil partnership certificate --- is the foreign certificate used in the initial application sufficient as we didn't register the marriage in the UK

Also, do we need to state in our application of the travelling back to Pakistan during the 2.5 years (we only went once for 4 weeks)

Lastly, our child was born in the UK with a UK passport, do I need to provide any evidence for him apart from birth certificate?

1. It is point 7.3E CASH SAVINGS on page 34

2. There is no requirement to register a marriage in the UK if you are already married abroad. Any non English documents must be translated.

3. If it asks for specific absences, then you need to list them.

4. Depends how many people live in the property and how big the property is.
