How do you know it was the dependent's fee being refunded?
Were you refunded £1228?

Or could it be a refund of IHS?

That's very odd because visa fee is non-refundable.
You should phone the Home Office helpline.

The application form says:

If your application contains errors or is missing information it may be rejected as invalid. Your application will not be considered and your fee will be refunded less an administration fee of £25 for each person included in the application.

But you said, the amount was refunded in full without even the 25 GBP deduction ?
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

Yes, this could be the case, though so far I've only ever heard of the entire application being sent back with the fee not charged. Maybe the HO processes such cases differently now. :?

Thanks everyone I got good information
But they refunded after all processes
Likewise they send a acknowledgement, fingerprints latter's and we done all fingerprints and after 1 month they refunded, if is there is mistake in applications they should send any kind of latter, but after that I haven't heard from HO. and now nearly 5 months gone. I called then but they are not giving any information, now I wrote them a latter.
If any further information someone share that would be great.
Kind Regards
