Hi guys,
I was on a Tier 2 (General) permit, which was due to expire in Nov 2019. However, I left my job in January this year. I have recently applied for an EEA (QP) and EFM, where I am the EFM and my long time German National girlfriend (unmarried partner) is my sponsor so to speak.
I made the application by post on 15th May and from the records of the parcel company, the Home Office received it on the 17th May. Interestingly, I received a curtailment of my Tier 2 (General) on the 17th May as well. My visa has now been curtailed until 18th July.
The Home Office has acknowledged receipt of my application, claiming "It may take up to six months to make a decision on your case. If we are unable to process your application within six months we will tell you as soon as possible."
ii) Does having a pending application with the Home Office automatically extend this curtailment until a decision on my visa has been made?
i) Should I use the "Points-based system: Migrant change of circumstances form" to inform them of this curtailment? The EEA (EFM) application specifically had a question about this "Has you ever had your leave to remain in the U.K curtailed? If so please provide specific details below" - Obviously, at the time of making the application I had in fact not received it.
I would really appreciate every little help with these queries.
Thank you!
