Overstayer to apply for ireland student visa

Hi

I am an over stayer in UK i have completed my Level 7 diploma recently in strategic management and i am getting admission in Ireland in the city of Dublin for my master degree course.

My question is can i apply to Ireland with my current status in UK which is an overstayer and will my status in uk will effect my decision to get an Irish student visa.
