Tier 2 General - Cahnge of sponsor with different SOC code

Post by vijaymamidi » Thu Mar 01, 2018 11:19 am

Hi All,

Currently I am on Tier 2 general visa with SOC code 2137.

I also have experience in a technology which falls under different SOC code and want to switch to a new employer/sponsor with different SOC code.

1. Since my new employer is not aware of the old SOC code or job profile how this could effect my recruitment process. (Since the old SOC code is mentioned in the CoS)

2. How this could effect my new visa application (If any).

3. What documents should i have provide to new employer for visa application processing

Many thanks in advance for your valuable feedback.
Vijay

If you are changing employer, then it really does not matter what your previous SOC is. Your need to meet RLMT, salary requirement etc.

1. It does not affect your recruitment process. Your employer needs to undertake RLMT etc.

2. It does not affect

3. As per your employer's requirement.

Tier 2 General Switching Employer

Post by vijaymamidi » Fri Jun 01, 2018 12:06 pm

Hello Everyone,

My current situation is, I have Tier 2 General visa valid from 28.05.2015 to 27.06.2018.

Now I have found a new sponsor who has mentioned the start date in CoS as 2nd July 2018.

So there will 4 days gap between my current and new visa.

1. Will it be possible for new employer to change this date to 28.06.2018 after visa/BRP is issued. (Hoping if the application is successful before 27.06.2018)
2. Will this be a legal stay.
3. How will this effect my ILR application.

Can you all please share your views and suggestions. I will really grateful to you.

Many thanks in advance.

2. Will this be a legal stay. Yes. you are legal. And you submitted application before your Tier2 visa with old employer expired, this is in time application and no break. Just cannot work with your employer over the date the CoS stated.
3. How will this effect my ILR application. Not affected, as you are legal stay with the same visa category, still eligible Tier 2 5 years route.

Can you all please share your views and suggestions. I will really grateful to you.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi cyclina1,

Thank you for your reply.

Now I have submitted my passport with current visa to the new employer's solicitor who will take priority postal appointment soon. As premium service is not available until first week of July.

By the time they get appointment and decision is made on my application, is there a way by which i can apply the extension for my dependents on my own(Company not sponsoring them). Note: Visa for dependents is also expiring on 27.06.2018.

And in case if this application is rejected and I get know after or just before my visa expires on 27.06.2018 will i get some time make another application?

Many thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.
Vijay.
