Tier 2 General Extension for Dependents Only - Maintenance Query

HI experts

I first came to UK with family in 2015, with 3 year Tier 2 general visa, valid till Oct 2018

In 2016, I moved to another sponsor and I got new visa that valid through June 2021 but my family did not apply when I moved, so their visa expires in Oct 2018.

My questions are -

My wife and 2 kids need to apply Tier 2 general extension separately (without main applicant since I already have new visa)

Do they have to show maintenance funds (for 90 days) (For extension, when they apply without main applicant)?

Does my wife need to pass English language test? (For extension)

Please help with my query. Thanks

It says -

If you apply separately from the main applicant you will need to have the necessary funds to meet the maintenance requirement or have a written undertaking from an A-rated Sponsor, unless the main applicant already had leave in a Tier 2 category and when applying for their most recent period of Tier 2 leave was not required to show evidence of satisfying maintenance requirements.

Since I already have Tier 2 general visa, my dependent still need to show funds?

Did you have to satisfy maintenance when you last got your T2 if yes she has to, if no then no.

It's an AND condition

unless the main applicant already had leave in a Tier 2 category and when applying for their most recent period of Tier 2 leave was not required to show evidence of satisfying maintenance requirements.
