Recent HMRC tax return

Post by smiles321 » Sat Jun 02, 2018 12:47 pm

Hi,

I am applying for BC, and I have self employed tax returns for 2016-17 and the HMRC tax statement from 2016-17.

On the form its states the most recent HMRC tax returns.

My question is will 2016-17 be ok ? or I have to file the 2017-18 tax return also and that is the most recent one.

Please let me know, as I have the 2016-17 with me and would that be ok?

Thanks,

BA

As long you are not overdue for 17/18 tax return, you should not worry about it.

Thank you .

Few more questions:

I am dentist, Ever since I came to UK , i have been working at the same dental practice from 2012 to date. The only difference is that from 2012-dec 2016 I was employee dentist , then I got my ILR and from Jan 2017 to 5th April 2018, I was self employed and then from 6th April 2018 my salary is being transferred into my company where I am the director.

1. After my ILR, I became self employed for which 2016-17 were filed. On the self assessment HMRC tax return sheet, the address of self employed is home address.

In the section which asks employer name/business name and address, should I put my home address or the dental practice where I am working.

2. from 6th April 2018 my salary started coming into my company which I had formed for tax purposes , in the section where it ask current employer name/business name address. Should I put my home address and company name or just put practice name and address.

Please advice,

Thanks,

BA

Use your registered address for self employed.

Thank you,

Since there is nothing to declare from company point of view for tax returns as its just recent, should I just declare myself as self employed or state than I am director where its asks business name . Should I state my company name?

Thank you,

BA

EMPLOYMENT DATES

Post by smiles321 » Sat Jun 02, 2018 2:47 pm

Hi,
I am applying for BC,work in the same dental practice since March 2012
ILR received 28th Dec 2016 and after that became self employed.
Before that was on Tier 2 and employee dentist.
I received P45 from my employer and it states leaving date 20 dec 2016.
When I made ILR application on 28th Dec 16 , employer had written a letter on 25th Dec stating my work etc.
My question is when applying for BC, wont the HO question on P45 leaving is 20th Dec 16 but ILR received 28th Dec 16.
Should I worry about it.

thanks,

BA

You can put either or both. Your choice.
