Salaried or non salaried employment

Post by mrskadir » Sat Jun 02, 2018 9:07 pm

My husband and I are applying for a spouse visa for him to join me in the UK. I have been with my current employer for 6 months but I am confused as to which catogory I fall in to. After lots of research I am sure it is non-salaried, however I am seeking advice and/or confirmation of this.

My employer pays a salary according to which pay band you fall in to. I am paid by the hour and my hours differ from month to month depending on overtime, I also receive enhanced pay for working weekends, however I am contracted for 37 and a half hours per week, and my pay slips state a salary of £16,968.00. - as this is the pay band I am in.

All of my payslips show that I have received over 1550 per month before deductions.

Am I right in thinking that this falls into Cat A, non salaried employment?

Thank you
