Hello All.
I am in a complex situation. I was arrested for an offense she has not done. I had taken few items (£66) from a supermarket into the trolley and forgot to pay for them before exiting. The security officer has confronted me and I have provided incorrect details to avoid any details being recorded as it may impact the visa. (Tier 2 Dependant), I was arrested where I haven't admitted the offense and the matter was listed for a trail. I have hired a solicitor. The trial started, however, the police didn't provide the CCTV to the CPS and later CPS provided an option to me that they can offer us a Caution. I said yes and the case was closed. I am waiting for an official confirmation from the CPS about when and how I have to accept the caution.
The truth is I haven't done anything - I had forgotten about those items and was into this situation.
There is still an option to decline the caution and get the case again for trial.
I want to understand from you that what is the right thing to do here. Shall I accept the caution, will this impact future Visa processing?
Do we really get justice in these cases? can I trust the system completely that I will be free as I have actually not done anything.
