CASH SAVINGS AND HOLIDAY LET INCOME

Post by herooftheday » Sat Jun 09, 2018 12:44 pm

Hi all,
I'm British, My wife is about to apply for ILR through fıve year route as a suppouse. We live in our own flat.
We have not been working for the past 6 months and we will use our cash savings to meet the requirements

My questions:

1- As far as I understand, we must have had more than 34,500 in our account for the past six months. However we 34000 since January and we only had 10,000 in December which means we met the requirement for 5 months but not for one month. we will also receieve anotherholiday let income of 5000 a day before our application which will make our total to 39000. Would having adequate funds for 5 months and but not forthe first months (6 montsh ago) cause immigration to fail our application?

2- Can we use our holiday let income from our main residence? If yes, how much would suffice? In the appendix it says "Therefore, income from a room in the main residence rented to a lodger cannot be counted. Income from a property that is rented out for all or part of the year (e.g. a holiday let) can be counted."

3- Are we supposed to fill the maintenance section ? because it the form says you should only fill it if :
- if you app were granted to enter or remain as a partner following an appllication submitted before (we did after 2012)
- you qualify for an expemtion
- you are plying as a parent of a child

4- Does home office mind if the applicant had already dual citizenship?

Thank you all for taking your time to read this message and your advice.

Jason
