I was born in Islamabad Pakistan on the 1st of May 1988 to a Pakistani father and British mother. My mother is a British Citizen by decent according to the British Nationality Act 1981 as she was born in Kenya and moved to the UK in 1976.
My parents got divorced in 1994. Mother moved back to Uk while my siblings and I stayed back with my father. Add strained relationships and we broke contact, barely getting through. Now were back and I would like to apply for my BC pr her wishes. My mother says she had me registered with the consulate within the first year of birth. Now the local immigration service upholds that i have no claim to citizenship and will have to persue a normal route.
. I need to know if it would be worth it to persue this cause and if anyone has gone through it before?
Also do i need to be having a registration document with me? I did travel on my mothers passport to Uk...
Stamp allowing me to travel said right to abode.. was it for my mother or me?
