Hi There,
I am going to apply for ILR in Aug 2018, below is the brief history of my case.
- In 2015, by mistake I enroled to the child benefit and in 2016 before applying for Tier 2 extension I realized that CB is not allowed at tier 2 visa I contacted HMRC and paid off all the amount back to HMRC and then applied for the tier 2 extension which was granted successfully.
- In 2013-2014, I switched to the new employer and the new employer assigned the wrong tax code that caused the underpayment. As it was the big amount so, I had to set up a direct debit with HMRC to pay off the amount. There is £2000 that still need to be paid.
My questions are.
- In my ILR application do I need to inform UKBA that I mistakenly enroled child benefit but that has been paid off now?
- Regarding the remaining tax amount, do I need to pay off the amount before applying the ILR application or if I keep paying that amount and just show the evidence that I am still paying the underpayment amount to HMRC will it impact my application?
Thank you so much for your advice,
Regards,
Hamza
