Urgent: Given and Surname swapped , Passport App. & on AN Form

Hi , in Citizenship application mistakenly swapped father's family name with given name.
now I applying for British passport for me and kids. I need to give name of father's name and their grandfather name in respective forms.

Shall I use name in same as citizenship app. or shall I enter name according to existing native passport ?

Do I need to explain situation in extra field or shall i provide cover letter ? and will there any impact on Certificate of nationality ?

Made call to HMPO and their support line confused me more. some guys advised to correct record with Home office and some said nothing to do with AN online application record if parents name is not mentioned on Certificate of naturalization.


Any Senior would assist me?
