BRC lost... Very strange situation

Dear friends..I am in very strange situation and don't know what to do.
Applied for permanent residence card for me an my wife.. Wife is EEA national me non EEA national family member, through a well known solicitor in January 2018

Bio metric enrolled on 16 February 2018
Received COA on 28 February 2018

Intervention team sealed solicitor office on April 18 2018

Received wife's residence permit together all family passports at my home address in last week of May with home office letter saying that these documents were sent to our solicitor and were returned to home office coz solicitor is not in business anymore. I should receive my BRC in 10 working days if I don't receive please contact BRC delivery team.

Contacted BRC delivery team and they said my BRC was delivered on my solicitor address on 03 May but solicitor is not in business since 18 April.. How come it is delivered but all the passports and other documents were not delivered and returned to home office . Now I don't know where is my BRC. Went to solicitor's office its closed.

Reported BRC as lost and they have canceled my BRC and asking me to apply for replacement BRC.

There is no form relating to replacement BRC but replacement BRP is available.

Don't know what to do. Contacted another solicitor he even doesn't know the difference between BRC and BRP....

Please advice what to do now. Should I fill up the forms for replacement BRP instead? Or I will have to go through all the process again for my permanent BRC replacement...

Only one question..
Do I have to submit all the documents again as I submitted for my 1st BRC earlier? Coz my wife and kids are going for holidays next month and I will not be able submit her passport..
