ILR application and tax

Post by Red_Ross1 » Wed Jun 13, 2018 4:44 pm

Hello,

In 2013-2014, I switched to the new employer and the new employer assigned the wrong tax code so, the less tax was paid to HMRC. As it was a big amount that I need to pay back so, I had to set up a direct debit with HMRC to pay off the amount but still, there is £2000 left.

My question is, do I need to pay off the amount before applying the ILR application or if I keep paying that amount and just show the evidence that I am still paying the underpayment amount to HMRC will it impact my application? and Do you think this issue can affect my visa application?

Thank you so much for your advice,

Regards,
Hamza

Thank you so much for your reply.

Do I need to mention in my application that I am paying the underpayment tax amount to HMRC?

Thanks,
