Dutch Citizenship by ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Post by hrak1978 » Sat Jun 16, 2018 9:33 pm

Hi All,
Please can someone help me with this or elaborate more details what exactly or specific documents are required for this if parents are unwed. And father can acknowledge me.

Many thanks

When were you born? Was either of your parents a Dutch citizen at the time of your birth?

Dutch citizen by birth or acknowledgement

Born in 1978, Non of them were Dutch at the time of birth.

But a colleague of mine who got his Dutch nationality in 1992 and he acknowledged his son and daughter in 2007 when they both were above 18.

He told me that doesn't matter if u were not born at the time of birth your father can stil acknowledge you.

I found the same detail on this page but as I cant speak dutch so couldn't find the document relating to it.

If you read the article with this subject:
Dutch nationality through the fathers acknowledgment of paternity

Please advise.

Contact Dutch authorities via email.
If I were you I'd find a lawyer and use their services for this.
