Possible increase in Immigration Health Surcharge?

Post by Djsuccess » Sun Jun 17, 2018 12:52 am

As part of the conservatives manifestos last year, TM promised to pump at least £5Bn into NHS over the next 5 years. She further explained that they would increase IHS to £600 for migrant workers and £450 for students. https://www.conservatives.com/manifesto page 66-67.
TM today has announced £20bn a year boost to NHS. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... g-NHS.html

Not sure if anything has been said about IHS recently apart from the news in February https://www.gov.uk/government/news/heal ... 400-a-year

I was just wondering if this could be the start of a sequence of events that might lead to increase in IHS?
I am not a lawyer and do not claim to be one. All my comments here are based on my opinions, experience and interpretation of the appropriate UKVI guidance documents and immigration rules.
