ILR exceed180 days under new regulation

Post by zcy9079 » Sun Jun 17, 2018 5:05 pm

Hello!

I am sorry if similar questions have been posted before.

I got my T2 visa in Jan 2014 and so I am planning to apply for ILR in next several months. However, as I was on a consulting project, I've been working overseas for almost one year in 2016. I have posted below. Under the old regulation, I would apply in September this year so that it falls in under 180 days. all other days within 5 years are fine. But now with this new continuous residence, I definitely exceed 180 days. But as this is almost the fifth year and the project was in my third year, there is no way I can extend another several years under T2. Does it mean my application will definitely be rejected?

Much appreciated if anyone can help me on this!

You are lucky! The old rules will apply.
