Tier 4 dependent visa

Post by soniacann1 » Sat Jun 23, 2018 12:59 am

Dear Expert,

I am on tier 4 dependent visa. My husband has submitted his MPhil thesis. He is waiting for an external examiner assessment. If he gets minor corrections then he will apply for a six months tier 4 student visa extension. We have a baby here. Now my question is, Will I be eligible to apply with my husband within the UK? OR I need to apply from outside?!

Thanks

Yes, of course. What made you think that only he could apply in the UK, but not you?

No. I heard that if tier 4 students extend their visa for six months within the UK then his or her spouse (dependent) will extend their visas from outside the UK.

Thanks

Any link to that information? Because it is wrong.

Ok Thanks. We were very worried about it. So now it is clear if in case my husband extends his student visa for six months, I am also eligible to extend dependent visa for six months! and there is no need to go and apply from outside.

Many thanks for replies!
