Application refused - 14 days given - Section 3c remains alive?

Post by Bushy902 » Sun Jun 24, 2018 5:18 pm

Hi,

This is a hypothetical question.

Let's say if someone's application gets refused, does the HO always give that person 14 days to take the next step?

And in these 14 days, is his or her Section 3c still alive?

Besides, let's say, if within these 14 days, the applicant applies for 10 year route ILR, is it going be acceptable?

Yes, I believe section 3c will remain alive.

However, please double check this with a senior member here. I heard some members here work directly or indirectly for the UKVI so their advice would definitely have credence.

By the way, Bushy, the UKVI may give you only 7 working days instead of 14 so if you are thinking that your application will be refused, make your plans in advance. I do not understand the logic behind the two durations though. Why can't we have either 14 or 7 working days as standard duration in case of refusal :/
