PBS dependent extension application online submission

Dear friends
I am living in UK under ILR visa (5 year tier 2 route). My wife lives in UK under Tier 2 dependent visa and it expires on 1st July 2018. I am going to submit the pbs extension application online. I have the following doubts regarding that.

1. I am going to submit the application on 27th June before the expire date of the visa, and with in how many days I need to submit the hard copy documents by post to UKBA.

2. Do the documents should arrive UKBA by post before the visa expires (1st July 2018).
