LIKELY EXTENSION OF EU LAW TO HETEROSEXUAL CIVIL PARTNERSHIP

The Supreme court has ruled that the UK was wrong and acted in a discriminatory way in not allowing Heterosexual couple to perform a civil partnership like same sex couple.

It is likely that those who have such partnership from overseas, can successfully argue that the Home Office must treat them as a family member of an EEA national, which is not the case at present.
