Spouse visa application

Post by Uksponsor74 » Thu Jun 28, 2018 4:15 pm

Looking for some advice please. I plan to apply for a spouse visa for my wife to come to the U.K. My last job finished at the end of May 2018 and I’m currently having to undertake exams to regain a qualification that will allow me to work again in my former trade.

By the time these exams are done, I anticipate that it could be in excess of 6 months between my last and new employment. Rather than wait the full 6 months in the new job and apply for a category A visa, I intend to apply for a category B visa.

Even with the employment gap, the gross salary I earnt over the final few months of the previous job still exceed the necessary financial requirement.

My concern however is the employment gap - will this adversely effect an application under category B or is the gap not important as long as I have met the financial requirement for this previous job?
