Apply EEA Residence Card without proof of adress

Post by Matheus26 » Thu Jun 28, 2018 5:49 pm

Good morning

I would like to explain a little about my case to see if you could help me.

I’m Brazillian, marriage with a Hungarian, and I arrived in UK this month, I tried to get the EEA Depedent Ink stamp, but they just gave me a Tourist Visa for 6 months.

My Question is for the Resident Card: In the Guidelines says that I need proof of address with my sponsor, but since I just arrived and I have a tourist vida, I don’t have any. Can I apply for it anyway?(we never lived together)

Thank you

I believe you could send a cover letter explaining the relationship and that you've just arrived and still don't have any proof of address in your name, but I think you'll need to strongly prove the relationship is genuine, with pictures, letters, emails, etc.
