Tier 2 Application

Post by simjoe » Fri Jun 29, 2018 10:19 am

In July 2016 i overstayed my visa because my course had finished early and had not received any communication from HO or my college that my visa had been curtailed only knew of it after Capita called me. I made arrangements to leave, but i could only leave 35 days (September 2016) after the call from Capita.

So my problem is i have been offered a Software Programming Job in London and would be applying for a Tier 2 visa soon wanted to know the chances of HO granting/rejecting my visa application

What did Capita have to do with your Visa ?

The date Capita called is immaterial. When exactly was the last date of your curtailment ? How many days after that did you leave ?

From what I gathered Capita were contracted by the HO to chase overstayers.. My date of curtailment was the 30th of July and I left on the 5th of September

So you were an overstayer for about 36 days.

Since this happened in 2016, you do not fall under general grounds of refusal.

So, the overstay itself should not cause a problem.

Of course, for the rest of the conditions, I can't comment.
