FLR (M)Financial Requirement Category B or F PLEASE

Hello Folks,

I am in desperate need for some help please. My spouse visa is due to expire on the 9th of July and I want to post my application tomorrow or 03/07/2018 unfailingly. This is an extension. This first one went smoothly as I was in full time employment for over 6 months prior to the application. However, things have changed since my first application.

I have only been in my current job from 1st of April (3 months). I know that under Category B, you have to show your income 12 months prior to the time of application. I have been a director of a limited company since early 2016 but got offered a permanent role recently hence the reason I only have 3 months payslip in my current job. My company financial year is June to June and I have filed the accounts (Bear in mind I didn't pay myself salary of dividend since I started my new job). I have all the documents requested under category F while I ran the company but my current employment puts me under category B.

My question is that is it best to apply under Category B and use my company docs, payslips, dividend, statements (personal and company), VAT etc to show my earnings prior to me starting my new job ? Or can I just apply under category F in order not to complicate things ?
