Will UK Immigration ask how I got a visa for another country?

Scenario: A visa is obtained in Country A while having omitted information about a criminal record.

A new visa application is submitted to the UK, and the criminal record is truthfully disclosed this time.

Will the UK immigration ask questions like “If you have a criminal record, how did you get a visa in Country A? Did you lie to Country A?” or will they only be concerned with their own immigration? Would the UK check with Country A to see if the visa for Country A was truthfully obtained?

I doubt anyone can advise on this because we are not privy to the internal workings of UKVI. Suffice to say it is always advisable to disclose material facts, even an innocent mistake could lead to lots of difficulties, especially if you are planning to make your life in another country.
