Hi all,
My wife's ILR visa is due imminently and we have a Settlement Checking Service appointment on Tuesday.
She'll be applying as partner with no dependants.
I will have been employed by my current company for just over 6 months at the date of application. I'm a permanent employee and my salary is well above the threshold of , so I believe I meet the financial requirement of £18,600 in Category A.
Prior to my current employment, I was sole director of a limited company (IT Consultant). My company is currently in the process of being wound down and I'm no longer trading through it. I have taken salary and dividends in the previous financial year (ending 5th April 2018).
As I just qualify on the time requirement of 6 months and salary requirement for Category A, do I still need to delcare my income from Self Employment (category F or G) in section 8.3B of the form or can I leave all of this information off of the form and leave out all of the evidence for this income source?
This question in 8.3A makes me think I do: "If you or your sponsor have had more than one job, you must provide the full details for each job held and the specified evidence for each job." - but in their definition, limited company directorship counts as self employment, so maybe not...?
I have company bank account statments, personal bank account statements and payslips to cover the period if required if necessary.
Rather than listing all the details for my directorship, could I put a note in Section 8D - Other Information - stating that I'm relying on Cetegory A, but also including summary details of my directorship?
Thanks in advance!
