FBR processing time

Post by euspouse07 » Tue Jul 03, 2018 10:09 am

Dear All
Anyone here, please share the experience with the department of foreign affairs while dealing with an application for FBR. Do they stick to 6 months processing time as it states on their website?
is anything we can do to push them to expedite the process if the time-limit is exceeded?

thanks

This is a useful thread - many people asking the same question as you

ireland/foreign-birth-registration-t214839.html

I asked that question the other day as well, it seems that 5-6 months is the standard time period for the FBR to come through.

Some people seem to email the DFA after a couple of months if they haven't heard anything to inquire as to the status of their application.

I don't think that there is any process for asking them to expedite after the 6 months, but you could post that question in the other thread as quite a few people read that one and might know
