NTL Application for minor

Hello All,

My daughter was granted ILE in 2014 with an expiry date of Aug 2017. I consulted laywer who told me that ILE is equivalent to ILR and you can apply for NTL application later at the time of passport expiry to transfer her ILE VISA to BRP card.

Now we want to travel India in school holidays and I realize my daughters ILE with expiry date in her passport would be a problem for re-entering to UK. Have anybody faced issues re-entering UK with similar condition as mine.

Can anybody please advice
1. My Daughter can re-enter UK from India and UK Border immigration accepts her current ILE Visa with expiry date
2. I need to apply for NTL application for minor at premium Center for same day service.
3.can we make NTL application for child? what documents are required apart from her current passport & ILE VISA?

The Airline will refuse to board her without valid residence/visa

She either needs to get a BRP or an NTL sticker.

Unfortunately, the Home Office’s Guidance for the airlines is misleading.
