Visa for a baby born to Indian parents in the UK

Post by tarungupta2785 » Thu Jul 05, 2018 11:26 am

Hi,

We were blessed with a baby boy about 4 months back. I am currently in the UK on ICT Tier 2 Long Term Visa and my wife and my elder son are both on a dependant visa. My visa expires in Jan 2019.

I wanted to know whether it's mandatory for me to get the visa stamped for my newly born as I will be leaving the UK in January 2019. From what I have heard it's not mandatory for the little one to get a visa as there is no immigration process while leaving the UK but he will definitely need one if we move out of the country before Jan and try to enter back into the UK.

Can anyone please confirm if my understanding is correct or help me with the right information please.

Thanks.

Regards,
Tarun
