Hi all,
It's my pleasure to be among this beautiful forum. I have been following this forum for a while but never ask a question, today will be my first question which I believe I will definitely get an answer from my very wonderful people.
Please I will like anyone to help clarify something that is not really clear to me about 5 years lawful residence indefinite leave. I will be very grateful if anyone can shed more light on this issue please.
I got my leave to remain in 2015 on the bases of family life as a parent under 10 years route. I got two British children who are not living with me but they live with their mum who is my ex-partner. I put in my application on the basis of Flrp parental route 10 years, I was granted a leave to remain under this route in 2015. I switch from 10 yrs route to 5 yrs route this year because I met the requirements, and I was granted another leave to remain on 5 years route under parent route.
Now my question is:
1. Can I apply for indefinite leave to remain after completing the 2/half years under the 5years route?
2. Does 5 years lawful residence apply to my case since I have got 2/half years on 10 years route before, now another 2/half years on 5 years route.
3. Can I combined the 2/half years on 10 years route together with 2/half on 5 years route making 5 years altogether to enable me apply for indefinite leave under the 5 years lawful residence?
Or
4. I will still need to complete the 5 years under the 5 years route before I can apply for indefinite? All together will now be 7/half years?
Please kindly help as I am a bit confused how the 5 years lawful residence been calculated.
Your response will be very appreciated.
Thanks.
